Pomegranate Flower Cake at Tick Tack, Antwerp

TICK TACK proudly presents POMEGRANATE FLOWER CAKE, a group exhibition featuring 13 emerging artists from the Klasse Reyle at HFBK Hamburg. Curated by Anselm Reyle, the show marks a rare opportunity to witness the next generation of contemporary artists from one of Europe’s most renowned art academies.

For decades, HFBK Hamburg has been an institution for groundbreaking artistic voices, counting Martin Kippenberger, Jonathan Meese, Rebecca Horn, and Wim Wenders among its alumni. Known for its future-oriented teaching and interdisciplinary approach, the academy fosters artists who challenge conventions and push the boundaries of material and form.

At the heart of this ethos is Klasse Reyle, where students are encouraged to experiment fearlessly—exploring abstraction, material transformation, and conceptual depth. Anselm Reyle, world-renowned for his radical use of industrial materials, neon, and sculptural interventions, has shaped a generation of artists who continue to disrupt, deconstruct, and redefine contemporary art. Now, 13 of his students bring this spirit to TICK TACK, not just exhibiting, but actively transforming the brutalist space with their raw energy.

This exhibition follows Reyle’s own intervention at TICK TACK in December 2023, where his solo show DISORDER reimagined the space with his signature aesthetics. Now, his students take over, extending this experimental lineage into a dynamic dialogue between emerging artistic voices.
