slowly , the past becomes a foreign territory.
I capitalize names of cities and states on a diary
I accumulate paintings with a click
I walk through endless galleries
I gather evidence
I Insert
(or Omit ) seemingly unimportant fragments.
I speculate
Collecting impressions in a suitcase.
A hedge against the future.
Long nets of white had clouded my memory.
I cherish this gift
That takes me back (there)
Figures evoke collective memories.
Tokens eternalize history
Padlocks seal our deal on a bridge.
