When heat is added to water, water becomes vapor. Add more heat, the quicker it goes. Vapor floats upward and disappears into air. In this case, there is only a before and an after. Anticipation feels the same as what’s left in the wake. The life of a building stretches longer than both its inhabitants and its makers.
But what if fear corroded like rust does, seeping into the floor and sensing out weakness? There is no respite from the body.
Ellis King is delighted to present the first solo exhibition by Siera Hyte in Europe. Hyte has recently had a solo presentation of her work at Queer Thoughts, New York. She has also previously exhibited at Egg, Chicago; Essex Street, NY; White Pipeline, Detroit, and Honolulu, Zurich. She has an upcoming solo exhibition at Muscle Beach, Portland.
