10N Gallery is pleased to present The ocean on one side is wild, with foam and glitter, and inland among stones, a duo exhibition featuring new and recent works by acclaimed artists Loup Sa-rion and Michel François. Bringing together two distinct yet dialogic practices, the exhibition offers a poetic exploration of form, fragility, and the mutability of materials in contemporary art.
Loup Sarion’s sensuous and visceral sculptures hover between the organic and the artificial. Known for his vibrant, fleshy forms rendered in resin, wax, and silicone, Sarion evokes the body and its boundaries—at once seductive and estranged. His work navigates tensions between desire, decay, and transformation, echoing the vulnerabilities of the human condition.
Michel François, a pivotal figure in Belgian conceptual art, brings a multi-disciplina-ry approach that weaves sculpture, installation, photography, and found materials into spatial constellations. His works manipulate everyday objects to question systems of control, balance, and resistance—often suggesting fragility within apparent order.
Together, Sarion and François activate the gallery space as a site of friction and resonance. The exhibition is less a conversation than a tactile encounter, where surfaces speak, edges collapse, and objects quietly defy their categories.
