Mother Culture Los Angeles is pleased to present LoopStar Future Feel Good, the second chapter in their inaugural exhibition debuting with a first wave comprised of an awe inspiring array of new works by Jessi Reaves.
Coming off the heels of her collaboration with Galliano for the SS18 Margiela show, Reaves has flown to stake a blobby lounge constellation in the heart of Los Angeles. An aggressive serpentine arrangement of ottoman sculptures which rend the gallery space with oxblood fabrics and raincoat yellow vinyl.
“Sometimes it is interesting to witness the unconscious glamour involved in the journey of design. That we are all programmed to rectify, smooth out and polish everything, but there is beauty in stopping that process completely and capturing that unfinished symphony, which is what I think Jessi’s work is about.”
