We don’t know the truth, but we can find some versions meanwhile floating around here.

Lady Justice was in town…
She was thirsty for something new.
Whats new? – this q boomed her mind.
She was hanging around in camouflage; in diving glasses, without her scales.
Arrived to a Pool, where she was gazing lonely figures behind the sideline, then she was dancing with flags, advertising absence.
Meanwhile bucolic bands were playing summertime sadness.
I met her downstairs in the small pool, she came to me slowly and whispering these words:
„you can not grow like this”

Sleep well!

* Catherine Biocca (born 1984, IT) lives and works in Berlin. Biocca frequently shapes environments that insinuate total autonomy from the viewer’s reality. It is almost as if, by visitation, we are actually intruding upon private property or a theater stage, interrupting the very happenings taking place. Her characters, often recognizable as anthropomorphized assemblages, are consistently active and presently conscious within their surroundings. After studying political sciences in Rome she studied fine arts with Georg Herold at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and in 2014 Biocca spent a residency at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. Past solo exhibitions include You’re hired , Villa della Rose, Bologna, IT (2019); Complexity Cost, Greengrassi, London, UK (2019); Ancient Workers , Kunstfort Vijhuizen, NL (2018) and Bonsai Feeling , Kunstverein Nürnberg, DE (2017).

* Botond Keresztesi (born 1987, RO) is a Romanian/Hungarian artist working in painting, drawing, and site-specific painting installations. Remixing references from Art History, popular culture, virtual space, and everyday life, his paintings crystalise into the fragmented realities of dream-like landscapes. Recent solo and group exhibitions have taken place at: Galerie Deroullion, Paris; Storage Capacité, Berlin; Damien & The Love Guru, Brussels; litost, Prague; Kunstfort, Vijhuizen, NL; Future Gallery, Berlin; ENA Viewing Space, Budapest; Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest; and Schloss, Olso.

The exhibition is part of summer takeover of Kunsthalle Košice powered by VUNU and curated by Nikolas Bernath and Peter Bencze.
