Pratt Institute is pleased to present Will You, a group exhibition co-curated by Jenni Crain and Nick Fusaro. The exhibition opened on Saturday, September 17th and remained on view through
October 2nd within Pratt Institute’s DeKalb Hall Gallery. The exhibition was organized in conjunction with Pratt Institute’s 2016 Alumni Day.
Participating artists and past graduates include Anthony Cudahy, Ted Gahl, Zoë Field, Tom Forkin, Jim Hodges, Nina Li, Heather McKenna, Kate Missett, John Monti, Britt Moseley, Izabelle New, Tin Nguyen, Megan Plunkett, and Am Schmidt. Will You is an invitation and a provocation to examine the relationships between shared experience. Working in the same community across several generations, the participating artists are bonded by an initial tapping into of a long established well. Will You is imbued with an intimacy, likened to that of an on-going gathering around an extended Tableau. The fruits of each artist’s labors are presented here both individually and in coalescence in an effort to reinforce both the tangible and intangible threads that bind.
Jenni Crain (b. 1991) is an artist and curator based in Brooklyn, NY. She received her BFA in sculpture from Pratt Institute in 2013. Crain is the co-founder & co-director of Topless, a seasonal gallery in Rockaway Beach, NY.
Nick Fusaro (b. 1989) is an artist and curator based in Brooklyn, NY. He received his BFA in sculpture from Pratt Institute in 2012. Fusaro is the founder and director of Three Four Three Four, an exhibition space currently based in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY.
