It started quietly. We talked. The thing has spread, like a ricochet.

Organic.

Colors of tart candies, a rough surface, sometimes even acne. Gentle mask. A piece of skin made up of different layers of its tissue. Semi-permeable, they allow fluids to pass through. A fungus sweating blood becomes a planet; cherry stones, a condom, pearls and glitter satellite. Hanging object in pink and white plastic, artificial. Candy Land toy or bondage sextoy, extraterrestrial? Two white ceramic rabbits copulate in a corner, opposite two snails lovingly stick together. Elsewhere another planet, blue and black relief where the clocks of the heart tell the time with wide eyes. A butterfly-woman weaves a spider web. It is raining hearts held by chains. A better tomorrow? In a light breath, he placed the mirror-flowers on the ground. Almost imperceptible, fragile, they reflect the sky broken into a thousand pieces. Not far away a cuddly cushion rounds off the angles. Dirty pink from a Cha(r)nel skirt suit. Silk printed with images, softness of confined pajamas that tell stories, en douce.

Oriane Durand (*1981 in Marseille, lives and works in Paris) is a curator, art historian and author. Between 2015 and 2020 she directed the Dortmunder Kunstverein. Previously she worked as a curator for the Kunstverein Nuremberg and the Bonner Kunstverein. She is co-founder of the project space SOUTERRAIN, Berlin. She presented the first institutional solo exhibitions in Germany among others by Raphaela Vogel, Jonathan Binet, Sol Calero, Elaine Cameron-Weir, Caroline Achaintre, Mimosa Echard and Anne-Lise Coste.

Mimosa Echard (*1986 in Alès) lives and works in Paris. Recent solo exhibitions include Dortmunder Kunstverein, Germany; VNH, Paris; Galerie Edouard Manet, Genevilliers; Cell project Space, London. Recent group exhibitions include MO.CO, Montpellier; IAC, Villeurbanne; Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, Paris. Her work will be presented at Martina Simeti, Milan in September 2020. Selected upcoming solo shows include ACCA, Melbourne in December 2020 and Palais de Tokyo, Paris in 2021.

Gaia Vincensini (*1992 in Geneva) is currently artist in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. Recent solo exhibitions include Alienze, Lausanne; 186f Kepler, NY; Forde, Geneva; Gaudel de Stampa, Paris. Recent group exhibitions include : Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Normandy Hôtel, Paris; Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, St. Gallen; Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, Geneva; Häusler Contemporary, Zürich; MABA, Nogent-sur-Marne. In July 2021, she will have a solo show at MAMCO, Geneva.
