SCHLOSS is pleased to present a new series of sculptures by Norwegian-German artist Yngve Holen.
There are works for the wall made from light alloy car wheels that have been cut using a 5-axis waterjet. The cut-out spokes of these wheels are mounted on blocks of butchers’-board plastic.
Around the interior perimeter of the gallery, there is a picket fence made from Norwegian wood. The fence is a stand in for ETOPSIII, the third issue of Holen’s magazine, focusing on food and political ecology in the Andes and the Amazon rainforest.
Yngve Holen recently presented a solo exhibition at Kunsthalle Basel. His work was also included in the 9th Berlin Biennale.
