Mary-Audrey Ramirez integrates different cultural references in her work, such as gaming, mythology, digital imagery, and artificial intelligence. Her work stages the increasingly fragile boundaries between physical and digital space as well as artificially created images through generators. Her work is inhabited by digitally created creatures that function as components of a micro-organism that she evokes in her installations and artworks. At the same time, Mary-Audrey Ramirez makes use of materials and textures that remind us of liquid and organic states of science fiction.

Mary-Audrey Ramirez (*1990 in Luxembourg) lives and works in Berlin. Her work has been shown in both solo and group exhibitions at institutions such as Esch2022 + ARS ELECTRONICA, Luxembourg/ Linz; Dortmunder Kunstverein, Dortmund; Kai 10, Düsseldorf; Haus Mödrath, Kerpen; Margot Samel Gallery, New York City; Polansky Gallery, Prague and MARTINETZ, Cologne. She has received multiple awards and artist residencies including at ISCP New York City, USA in 2022.
