ELVESHAARP NEURAL POETICS is part of Core.pan’s ongoing research on artificial neural networks. The video was produced using the semantic generation capacity of a neural network trained on large image datasets. Considered as a new medium for painting, the video explores the idea of simulacral landscapes, through the lens of an eventual global mutation shaped by geo-engineering.

Core.pan are an artist duo (Sybil Montet (b. 1988 in France) & Simon Kounovsky (b. 1992 in France)) living and working in Prague and Paris. Since 2016, their work is based on an extensive reflexion around symbiosis, high end engineering and consciousness, using new materiality and the digital as a way to explore the dynamics between mysticism, artificial intelligence and experimental science. Core.pan recently held solo exhibitions at Futura Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague (2019), Macao in Milan, Italy (2017), Plateforme in Paris, France (2017), and Galerie A.M.180 in Prague, Czech Republic.
