We are very happy to present Przemek Pyszczek’s second solo show in Paris, entitled “A Dark Light”.
For this new show entitled «A Dark Light», Przemek Pyszczek (b.1985, in Poland) saw as a further flattening of physical and emotional elements into the works that make up an abstract landscape.
“With “A Dark Light”, I was very emotionally influenced by everything that has been going on in Poland, and in the world as a whole, over the past year. The social uprising in Poland over women’s and LGBTQ rights, the pandemic, stressful elections seemingly everywhere… I felt as though there was a constant struggle for the light and darkness of the world to come into equilibrium. These ideas of tension vs. slackness, order vs. chaos, rigidity vs. ease, are something that I have also tried to communicate with the sculptures in terms of their compositions.”
