A good backstory doesn’t sort the good art from the bad, and a good work doesn’t always have a good backstory.
All the works in the show stand on their own without any narrative but do have a backstory which necessarily deepens and widens their scope. If you like, they are part of a difficult matching exercise. Looking for the challenging connections, stories, and identities, through painting and sculpture is the essence of the show. You can choose to use the words below to guide you through the show or you can also use me. I will be happy to give you a tour and tell you some stories too.
