From the first floor of her home in Molenbeek, Lisa Vlaemminck explores the boundaries of painting to give birth to a spawning, vibrating, and disorienting universe. Combining scientific imagery with references to food, plants, animals, or artifacts, the unapologetic sensuality of Vlaemminck’s trippy paintings relegates the most virtuoso digital artists to the rank of amateurs. For her first institutional solo exhibition, KIOSK will be presenting a suite of new paintings as well as a 60-meter-long textile sculpture infiltrating its various exhibition spaces. A monograph on her work will be published by Posture Editions on the occasion of the exhibition at KIOSK. The exhibition would not have been possible without the generous support of rodolphe janssen, Brussels
