Dasha Shishkin (Moscow, Russia, 1977) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Driven by line, her compositions are inhabited by a psychedelic multiplicity of scenes and characters, bordering on the comical and the grotesque – a glimpse into a strange, parallel world where pre-assumed rules don’t apply. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions at Neues Museum Nurnberg, Alemania (2021); Fine Art Gallery, Houston, Texas (2020); Anne Barrault Gallery, Paris, Francia (2020); Gio Marconi Gallery, Milan, IT (2018); Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Boulder (2017) and The Metropolitan Opera, New York (2014).
