Bradley Kronz presents a series of new works for his exhibition in the BAR exhibition space.
The show takes shape from a sculpture that the artist has acquired.
Entering the exhibition space, five familiarly shaped boxes covered in myrtle green eco-leather, be-coming the frottage frame that Kronz creates starting from the pedestal of the sculpture, which in its non-visible part hides three circular openings, made to allow the ceramic to dry more easily, and the author’s signature ‘Terry K. ‘85’.
In the exhibition the artist builds wall segments that seem to be taken from a domestic environ-ment. On these walls are exhibited a collage representing a religious scene and the ceramic sculpture, together with its pedestal.
Through the display itself the artist highlights all its parts, even those usually not visible and less important. The support is part of the work and the signature is a visual representation of the author.
Finally, three spheres descend suspended in the center of the vaults of the exhibition space, protected by a plexiglass panel.
Bradley Kronz (b.1986) lives and works in New York. Recent solo exhibitions include Gandt, Astoria, NYC, Mulier Mulier, Knokke, Belgium (2019); Forde, Geneva (2018).
