The solo exhibition »Frau S. und ihr Mann« by artist Heidi Mühlschlegel features a group of selected works, mainly paintings, that demonstrate her ongoing development of an autonomous language of form characterized by strong colors, layered overpainting, and applied extensions of the picture plane. Her motifs are often drawn from everyday culture or based on personal encounters and observations. Fantastically charged, they create a pictorial cosmos in which the real and the imagined continuously merge with one another.
Heidi Mühlschlegel (*1970 in Biberach an der Riß) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Her mostly installation-based works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions. She has also worked as a curator for the Ponybar and the Lothringer13/Laden in Munich. She lives and works in Biberach an der Riß and in Munich.
