We are delighted to invite you to ‘(1/1).10’, a group show with Philippe Van Snick and 10 artists he highly appreciates and with whom he has collaborated on several occasions. Van Snick has invited the artists to propose a work to which he responds with a work of his own. The curatorial format of ‘one on one times ten’ is based on the artists own practice and the prominent place of recurring elements such as the order of ten, duality and alliance. Coming from diferent generations and backgrounds, the selected artists share Van Snick’s conceptual and mathematical, yet spiritual and sensitive approach to nature and life. The exhibition shows a love for simple gestures and pure materials. With works ranging from the late ‘60s until now, ‘(1/1).10’ highlights the historic, contemporary and future relevance of this extensive oeuvre within a broader context.
